Composer Insight! How do you make the music fit the video?

Updated: Jun 29, 2023

A videographer friend asked the other day,

“How do you actually make the music fit the video…video timing is all over the place and Hit Points don’t work in normal musical time!”

This was a great question!

As a media composer, making the music fit the video is one of the my essential skills. Without it, the music will not add value to the project.

The answer is…….It’s all about timing….obviously!

It’s about the timing of the music and the timing of the beats and bars. And then composing music that sympathetically works with that timing.

All make sense?

No!

Thought not.

So I made a short video that demystifies how I do it.
